Healing Sessions

"EVERYONE without exception is very, very special with extraordinary qualities and extraordinary powers. You just may not know it yet. The secret is to be, love and cherish yourself; it is to be your true essence. You are love and light, infinite wisdom and unlimited possibilities. Whatever you ask, you shall receive. You can have, be and do anything you want. You just need to choose what makes you happy in your heart. It is very simple. Remember, you are loved beyond measure for who you are and you are beautiful."

Author Unknown ~ but a very Wise Soul

Consider that the lessons from our life experiences can make us appreciate the joy of growing into ourselves. Living life day by day, breath by breath, step by step is the only way to be everything you were meant to be!  2014 could be the year to shift into a whole new universe!  The writer Joseph Campbell once said, "We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us."  Let 2014 develop you into a new person with traits and interests your old 2013 self didn't have.

This year give beyond reason. Care beyond hope. Love without limit. Reach, stretch, and dream in spite of fear. These are the hallmarks of divinity - traits of the immortal - your badges of honor as a spiritual being, along that sometimes dark road that leads to enlightenment, and the way home .

You are a  pioneer into illusion, an adventurer into the unknown, and a lifter of veils.

Happy New Year,

Believe in yourself, in love, in trust, in magic, in angels, in happy endings, in God, in promises, in miracles, in people, in fairytales, in following your heart, in peace and happiness, in never growing up, in following your passions and making your dreams come true, in always having fun, in helping people, in making the world a better place, in changing for the better.

The Road to New Beginnings

by Madisyn Taylor

Just as new beginnings are important, so is honoring the experience of closure.

Life is a collage of beginnings and endings that run together like still-wet paint. Yet before we can begin any new phase in life, we must sometimes first achieve closure to the current stage we are in. That’s because many of life’s experiences call for closure. Often, we cannot see the significance of an event or importance of a lesson until we have reached closure. Or, we may have completed a certain phase in life or path of learning and want to honor that ending. It is this sense of completion that frees us to open the door to new beginnings. Closure serves to tie up or sever loose ends, quiets the mind even when questions have been left unanswered, signifies the end of an experience, and acknowledges that a change has taken place.

The period of completion, rather than being just an act of finality, is also one of transition. When we seek closure, what we really want is an understanding of what has happened and an opportunity to derive what lessons we can from an experience. Without closure, there is no resolution and we are left to grieve, relive old memories to the point of frustration, or remain forever connected to people from our past. A sense of completion regarding a situation may also result when we accept that we have done our best. If you can’t officially achieve closure with someone, you can create completion by participating in a closure ritual. Write a farewell letter to that person and then burn your note during a ceremony. This ritual allows you to consciously honor and appreciate what has taken place between you and release the experience so you can move forward.

Closure can help you let go of feelings of anger or uncertainty regarding your past even as you honor your experience – whether good or bad - as a necessary step on your life’s path. Closure allows you to emotionally lay to rest issues and feelings that may be weighing down your spirit. When you create closure, you affirm that you have done what was needed, are wiser because of your experience, and are ready for whatever life wants to bring you next.

Divine spirit
thank you for giving me the capacity for wholeness
Thank you for this very precious moment
A moment where I am present
to all the goodness that exists
inside and outside of me
A moment that inspires thoughts of a greater future
A future where I can love and be loved
where I can serve and be served
A future where I humbly and gracefully
contribute my soul's gifts to the world
A future that is filled with abundance and miracles
Today I open my arms to the loving presence
that will awaken me to my greatness
and fill my future with surprises
I surrender my life and will
to the greatest power in the universe
Today I accept my worth and my worthiness
And so it is

Squirrel Medicine
Affirming an Abundant Future

by Madisyn Taylor

Squirrel medicine reminds us to set aside a portion of our most precious resources as an investment in the future.

Native Americans considered all living beings as brothers and sisters that had much to teach including squirrels. These small creatures taught them to work in harmony with the cycles of nature by conserving for the winter months during times when food was plentiful. In our modern world, squirrels remind us to set aside a portion of our most precious resources as an investment in the future. Though food and money certainly fall into this category, they are only some of the ways our energy is manifested. We can conserve this most valuable asset by being aware of the choices we make and choosing only those that nurture and sustain us. This extends to the natural resources of our planet as well, using what we need wisely with the future in mind.

Saving and conservation are not acts of fear but rather affirmations of abundance yet to come. Squirrels accept life’s cycles, allowing them to face winters with the faith that spring will come again. Knowing that change is part of life, we can create a safe space, both spiritually and physically, that will support us in the present and sustain us in the future. This means not filling our space with things, or thoughts, that don’t serve us. Without hoarding more than we need, we keep ourselves in the cyclical flow of life when we donate our unwanted items to someone who can use them best. This allows for more abundance to enter our lives, because even squirrels know a life of abundance involves more than just survival.

Squirrels use their quick, nervous energy to enjoy life’s adventure. They are great communicators, and by helping each other watch for danger, they do not allow worry to drain them. Instead, they allow their curious nature to lead the way, staying alert to opportunities and learning as they play. Following the example set by our squirrel friends, we are reminded to enjoy the journey of life’s cycles as we plan and prepare for a wonderful future, taking time to learn and play along the way.

Power Animal Message from Butterfly    By Carrie Hart

At the heart of the human struggle is the false idea that you can change the world around you without transforming yourself.   At the core of repetitive, self-destructive behavior is the misguided concept that you can do and be whatever you choose in the moment without having a profound effect on your life and that of those around you.

The caterpillar has within her the full potential for the glory and freedom of flight, it is true.  But she does not crawl about in the familiar grass and simply awaken one day as a glorious butterfly.  Nor can she take a test flight, to see if becoming a butterfly is really worth the effort.

Instead, the caterpillar must cease resistance to change and newness, must in fact be willing to leave everything familiar behind  and enter a state of formlessness without precise knowledge of the outcome, led only by an intuitive knowledge that this is what she is meant to do and become.

And then, within that chrysalis state, out of the open willingness to allow Spirit to lead, the butterfly begins to take form, finally to emerge damp and exhausted from the journey, but alive and breathing, taking only a moment to dry her wings before she catches the breeze to find out what glories await her on the wings of freedom.

And then we butterflies know, that the freedom is everything, far more than our caterpillar selves could ever imagine, and worth whatever it took to finally take flight.

THE NEW YEARS VOW  by Debbie Ford

My life is worth a billion blessings to all those I meet on my journey.

I am the heaven and all that exists in the sky above.

I am the vastness of my greatest thought and the infinite power that sources and sustains the entire universe.

On this day, I will remember who I am, what I am here for and why I chose the experiences that have come into my path this past year.

Today, I promise to leave the smallness of my darkest thoughts and melt with open arms into the never-ending, all-powerful love of my highest self.

Today, I surrender into the open arms of 2014, allowing each day of the upcoming year to surprise, comfort and nourish my soul's deepest desires.

I vow to return to the spark of the divine and use my power to light up the world.

This year, I will give to others what I want back for myself.

If I want love, I will find ways to love each and every person I come across.

If I want peace, I will think peaceful thoughts, say peaceful words and pray for peace for all those who are living in chaos, including myself.

If I want success, I will work diligently to help those around me succeed. I will stay focused, do my absolute best and seek excellence in everything I do.

If I want respect, I will begin by respecting life and all that comes with it. I will respect those around me and those who work hard to make this planet a better place. I will respect the earth, my body, my past and the gifts that I hold and I will surrender judgment for reverence.

In 2014, I trust that what I give to the world will be given back to me.
