"EVERYONE without exception is very, very special with extraordinary qualities and extraordinary powers. You just may not know it yet. The secret is to be, love and cherish yourself; it is to be your true essence. You are love and light, infinite wisdom and unlimited possibilities. Whatever you ask, you shall receive. You can have, be and do anything you want. You just need to choose what makes you happy in your heart. It is very simple. Remember, you are loved beyond measure for who you are and you are beautiful."

The Angel of MAY - brings the blush and promise of spring. May's angel rejoices with us as we take heart at the sight of trees and shrubs in bloom and relish our anticipation of the fruits to come. This angel of spring reminds us that this is a time of awakening the seed within ourselves. Perhaps we have a deep longing, an artistic talent never explored or a friendship never quite attempted. This angel of May will help us discover this potential, nurturing our spirits as we can dare to fulfill this hidden promise and bring forth the fruit of a life fully lived.
See how nature – trees, flowers, grass – grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence…we need silence to be able to touch souls. – Mother Teresa
"When we look into the heart of a flower, we see clouds, sunshine, minerals, time, the earth, and everything else in the cosmos in it. Without clouds, there could be no rain, and there would be no flower. Without time, the flower could not bloom. In fact, the flower is made entirely of non-flower elements; it has not independent, individual existence.... One thing is made up of all other things. One thing contains the whole cosmos.... A piece of bread contains sunshine.... Without a cloud, the wheat cannot grow. So when you eat the piece of bread, you eat the cloud, you eat the sunshine, you eat the minerals, time, space, everything."
Thich Nhat Hahn
There is a longing deep inside to emerge as an improved version of yourself, like a butterfly from the cocoon, all shiny, new and free. This is a longing which you can fulfill. It is within your power to emerge from this cocoon of old habits, self-defeating actions, and patterns which seem to have ensnarled and encased you. It is well within your power. You have the power to be what you dream of being, because you are that person already.
First, hold on to the butterfly image and begin to connect deeply to it, to the butterfly that is you. And now, deep within your center, within the very core of yourself, connect with this version of yourself, connect emotionally, deeply. Know this person as yourself. Know that you are already this person. Of course you are. It is you. And the cocoon will drop away as you begin to connect more and more closely with the butterfly.
What does she feel like? How does she act? How would she respond in a given situation? Begin to honor yourself enough to be this butterfly version of yourself. Clear away your fear and doubt and simply dress, eat, exercise, speak, think, and choose as she does.
For you are her. You are this butterfly. This longing is a longing to come home to yourself, to release the old ways of being which no longer serve, to free yourself from the fear and doubt, to flutter your wings in the sunshine of a vibrant life and take flight.
Here is a little Prayer for Today:
Today, I am the very best version of myself.
Today, I emerge from the cocoon fresh and clean and new. I am a butterfly of great beauty. I know my beauty and own it completely.
I am free and able to fly. I am shiny and new and able to do all of the things I have always dreamt of doing.
I choose to be this very best version of myself. I choose to act and speak in this way. I make all of my decisions and choices from the center of this butterfly version of myself, knowing that I am this beautiful, this vibrant, this much a part of the world.
I love myself completely and embrace all that I am. I fly from flower to flower and drink in the nectar of life. I am beauty, joy and a deep peace. I am all that I wish to be, right now. I am.

Clearly, laughter liberates. Physically, muscular tension loosens clearing wreckage of exhaustion; Emotionally, laughter raises your spirits and softens rigid defenses. Subtle energy-wise, your system is replete with positive vibes which ease all that ails you. Studies abound lauding how laughter heals: it elevates immune response and endorphins (our body’s natural painkillers); relieves stress, anxiety, and depression; prevents heart disease.
The Life Cycle
Bud and Blossom and Beyond
It is through watching the cycles of nature that we more fully understand the cycles of our own lives.
Flowers and leaves both begin their lives as organisms so tiny we cannot see them with the naked eye. With time, they become visible, curled in upon themselves, colorful buds slowly softening and releasing. With the proper warmth and moisture, they unfold little by little, revealing with each degree of opening a new color, shape, or dimension. Sometimes buds open seemingly all at once, unfolding the full majesty of their potential, of what looks to the human eye like courage, openness, and generosity.
As days go by, the bloom slowly moves through more stages, revealing still more colors, shapes, and dimensions of its essence. It falls apart, strewing its petals on the ground, or it wilts, or it closes back in on itself. When we can appreciate the full beauty of each stage of the cycle of life, from bud to blossom to disintegration, we feel more at home with our own earthly process. We can be inspired not to hold back the fullness of what we have to offer, knowing that our time to give of ourselves in this way will come to pass. At the same time, we can honor others, and the little processes that go on within the larger process of living our lives.
Each stage we go through has its time of fulfillment and recession, as do all living things. Every moment of every stage has its own particular beauty, and we can appreciate that, even as most of us tend to love the spectacular moment of full blossoming most of all. When we feel the wisdom contained in the budding, blossoming, and dissolution of a simple flower, we begin to feel it everywhere, in each moment that comes and goes, in each sunrise and sunset, in every hello and goodbye, as the very essence of the pulsating ebb and flow of existence.
GRATEFULNESS in the character is like fragrance in the flower. A person however learned and qualified in his life's work, in whom gratefulness is absent, is devoid of that beauty of character which makes the personality fragrant.
If we answer every little deed of kindness with appreciation, we develop in our nature the spirit of gratefulness; and by learning this we rise to that state where we begin to realize God's goodness toward us, and for this we can never be grateful enough to His/Her divine compassion.
The great Sufi poet Sa'di teaches gratefulness as being the means of attracting that favour, forgiveness, and mercy of God upon us in which is the salvation of our soul.
There is much in life that we can be grateful for, in spite of all the difficulties and troubles of life. Sa'di says, "The sun and moon, and the rain and clouds, all are busy to prepare your food for you, and it is unfair indeed if you do not appreciate it in thanksgiving."
We are all unique.
No comparison is possible to anybody else.
Each of us develops into a unique individual who enters into unique
transactions with the world as it exists for him.
