"EVERYONE without exception is very, very special with extraordinary qualities and extraordinary powers. You just may not know it yet. The secret is to be, love and cherish yourself; it is to be your true essence. You are love and light, infinite wisdom and unlimited possibilities. Whatever you ask, you shall receive. You can have, be and do anything you want. You just need to choose what makes you happy in your heart. It is very simple. Remember, you are loved beyond measure for who you are and you are beautiful."

The Angel of August - is the angel of perseverance. The new directions we began in the spring may have become difficult to sustain. Like a garden that needs constant watering and weeding in the scorching August sun, our projects and dreams require stamina and determination to bring them to fruition. The angel of August helps us with unflagging energy to tend the garden we have planted. When the hot summer sun and the work of our lives demand too much of us, the August angel brings us the fortitude to cleave to our tasks through completion.

WHAT AM I ?

I am a song; I am a drop of rain; I am a wise seer;

I am a lover of all life; I am a vision of what is real,

I am the bright and beautiful light; I am the elements;

I am the star in the sky and the reflection on the ground;

I am the elder and the child; I am the hawk and the rabbit;

I am the joy and the suffering pain; I am the bold creation;

I am you and I am me and I am us;

I am everything that Is.

The Law of Least Effort

    www.deepakchopra.com

The Law of Least Effort: Nature's intelligence functions with effortless ease, with carefreeness, harmony, and love. And when we harness the forces of harmony, joy, and love, we create success and good fortune with effortless ease.

I will put the Law of Least Effort into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:

1.      I will practice acceptance. Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur. I will know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. I will not struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. My acceptance is total and complete. I accept things as they are this moment, not as I wish they were.

2.      Having accepted things as they are, I will take responsibility for my situation and for all those events I see as problems. I know that taking responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation (and this includes myself.) I also know that every problem is an opportunity in disguise, and this alertness to opportunities allows me to take this moment and transform it into a greater benefit.

3.      Today my awareness will remain established in Defenselessness. I will relinquish the need to defend my point of view. I will feel no need to defend my point of view. I will feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view. I will remain open to all points of view and not be rigidly attached to any one of them.

Asking for What You Want ~ message from Daily Om
Co-creating with the Universe    www.dailyom.com

Most people don’t always fully realize that we all have within us the ability to co-create our lives with the universe. So many of us are taught to accept what we are given and not even to dream of anything more. But our hopes and dreams are the universe whispering to us, planting an idea of what’s possible while directing us toward the best use of our gifts. The universe truly wants to give us our hearts’ desires, but we need to be clear about what they are and ask for them.

To ask for something does not mean to beg or plead from a place of lack or unworthiness. It’s like placing an order—we don’t need to beg the salesperson for what we want or prove to them that we deserve to have it. It is their job to give us what we ask for; we only have to tell them what we want. Once we have a clear vision of what we desire, we simply step into the silent realm where all possibilities exist and let our desires be known. Whatever methods we use to become still, it is important that we find the quiet space between our thoughts.

From that still and quiet place, we can announce our intentions to the pure energy of creation. By imagining all the details from every angle, including scent, color, and how it would feel to have it, we design our dreams to our specifications. Similar to dropping a pebble into a pond, the ripples created by our thoughts travel quickly from this place of stillness, echoing out into the world to align and orchestrate all the necessary details to bring our desires into manifestation. Before leaving this wonderful space to come back to the world, release any attachment to the outcome and express gratitude. By doing this daily, we focus our thoughts and our energy while regularly mingling with the essence that makes it possible to build the life of our dreams.

Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over it became a butterfly.~ anonymous

Ignorance makes you believe that life functions haphazardly.

Wisdom teaches you that everything that happens in this theatre of life has profound significance.

 What you see today is not the fruit of chance but a fruit from seeds planted in the past.

 Plant seeds of peace now and you will create a life of peace for the future.

YOUR “ATTITUDE” MAKES A DIFFERENCE

A reporter was sent to a stone cutter to interview three different men doing exactly the same job – hammering stones. Asking about how they liked their job, the first one answers, “I really hate it. I barely make the money to survive. I am doing the same stupid thing over and over. My back hurts, I am getting old, and I absolutely see no sense in what I am doing.”

The second man responds to the same question, saying, “It's not bad, I have a decent house and a nice car. I love my family; however, I am not fulfilled with what I am doing.”

The third man replies, “I love my job. I am absolutely thrilled and I appreciate everyday I can be here. I think my work is wonderful as all these stones I am hammering will later be part of the material to build a wonderful cathedral. A place where many people can worship God and a place where many people will find the strength to overcome struggles and difficulties in

their lives. I cannot imagine doing something different – I feel happy every moment.”

Remember – all these people are doing the same exact work. It is only their attitude that makes a completely different person out of them. Not only are these people all different, they each will be affecting the other people around them by their attitudes.

It's the basic principle of looking at a half full or half empty glass. It is your viewpoint of life that determines you attitude. If you think everything has to be given to you for free, you are setting yourself up for big disappointment. You will spend a lot of time being angry because you’ll soon discover that nothing comes to you for free. Focusing on who you are and what you have will shift your attitude and make you more humble. Recognize what you do have in life. Go out in nature and recognize the beauty of life. Pick a flower, watch and feel the grace of it.

The following was written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland  , Ohio. “Celebrating Growing Older”

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4.Cry with someone.  It's more healing than crying alone.
5. It's OK to get angry with God.  He can take it.
6. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
7. Don't compare your life to others.  You have no idea what their journey is all about.

8. Everything can change in the blink of an eye.  But don't worry; God never blinks.

9. Take a deep breath.  It calms the mind.

10. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful..
11. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

12. It's never too late to have a happy childhood.  But the second one is up to you and no one else..

13. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.
14. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie.  Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
15. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
16. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will this matter?'

17. Forgive everyone everything.
18. What other people think of you is none of your business.
19. Time heals almost everything.
20. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
21. Don't take yourself so seriously.  No one else does.
22. Believe in miracles.
23. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.
24. Don't audit life.  Show up and make the most of it now.

25. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.
26. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
27. Get outside every day.  Miracles are waiting everywhere.

28. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
29. Envy is a waste of time.  You already have all you need.
30. The best is yet to come.
31. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
32. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.

Working with a Larger Energy  by www.dailyom.com
Going with the Flow

The expression going with the flow is a metaphor that applies to navigating a river. When we go with the flow, we follow the current of the river rather than push against it. People who go with the flow may be interpreted as lazy or passive, but to truly go with the flow requires awareness, presence, and the ability to blend one’s own energy with the prevailing energy. Going with the flow doesn’t mean we toss our oars into the water and kick back in the boat, hoping for the best. Going with the flow means we let go of our individual agenda and notice the play of energy all around us. We tap into that energy and flow with it, which gets us going where we need to go a whole lot faster than resistance will.

Going with the flow doesn’t mean that we don’t know where we’re going; it means that we are open to multiple ways of getting there. We are also open to changing our destination, clinging more to the essence of our goal than to the particulars. We acknowledge that letting go and modifying our plans is part of the process. Going with the flow means that we are aware of an energy that is larger than our small selves and we are open to working with it, not against it.

Many of us are afraid of going with the flow because we don’t trust that we will get where we want to go if we do. This causes us to cling to plans that aren’t working, stick to routes that are obstructed, and obsess over relationships that aren’t fulfilling. When you find yourself stuck in these kinds of patterns, do yourself a favor and open to the flow of what is rather than resisting it. Trust that the big river of your life has a plan for you and let it carry you onward. Throw overboard those things that are weighing you down. Be open to revising your maps. Take a deep breath and move into the current.

Overcomes the love of power,
The world will know peace.

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.  Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumoured by many, or merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.  But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason, then accept it and live up to it.
